Mr. Grumpy Toad

The toads shown in the photo below are  Cane Toads, commonly known in the Philippines as Hawaiian frogs.

There are two “decorative” pools/ponds at C-Park at UPLB that are normally empty.  They are kept empty as much as possible,  but whenever it rains hard enough, like during a typhoon, the two pools fill up and can have water in them for several weeks.  Consequently the pools become a mating ground for toads.  One morning I was out shooting and came across these two resting on a palm leaf.  One of them doesn’t look too happy.  Maybe Ms. Toad said no.
